Hands & Wrists Rules:

  • No player is permitted to wear white wristbands or bandages, because of the possible difficulty in distinguishing the baseball from the wristband or bandage. This prohibition extends to white wristbands with a stripe insufficient to permit the distinction.
  • Any pitcher starting or entering a game wearing a colored glove must wear a glove of the same color for the pitcher's entire participation in the game.
  • The pitcher's glove shall be uniform in color, including any stitching, lacing and webbing (but excluding piping). Pitchers' gloves may not be white or gray.
  • Any player wearing a golf glove underneath a playing glove may not rub up balls for use by the pitcher.

Where does all the MLB fine money go?

MLB funnels fine money either to a central fund, which is shared among the league's 30 teams, or in some cases it goes to the charity of the player's choice.
