Head & Helmet Rules:

  • Each catcher shall wear a catcher's protective helmet while fielding the position. Provided that such protective helmet has been approved by the Official Playing Rules Committee, a catcher may wear any protective helmet that conforms with past practice.
  • All batting helmets must have the Major League Baseball silhouetted batter logo on the back of the helmet and may not include any corporate logos.
  • Each bat/ball boy or girl shall wear a protective helmet while performing his or her duties.
