- Each player when introduced, prior to the game, must be uniformly dressed.
- Players must remove warm-ups on the bench, not snap them off at the scorer's table.
- Players who are in attendance at games but not in uniform are required to wear a sport coat, dress shoes or boots, and socks when seated on the bench or in the stands during the game.
- Coaches and assistant coaches must wear a sport coat or suit coat.
Where does all the NBA fine money go?
| Fine money is split evenly between the league and Players Association (NBPA). Each then donates its share to a charity or charities of their choosing. According to Kathy Behrens, who oversees the NBA's outreach efforts, the NBA donates "a couple million dollars a year" to a range of groups, including Unicef, March of Dimes, and Reading Is Fundamental. |
